Strutt & Parker announces two senior appointments

Tamerah Couchman and Gary Higgins

Strutt & Parker has made two new appointments to its leadership team.

Gary Higgins joins the estate agency, part of BNP Paribas Real Estate, as managing director, and Tamerah Couchman as head of marketing & client experience.

As managing director, Higgins will be responsible for steering Strutt & Parker through its next phase of its growth strategy, focusing on expanding its market share in existing and emerging markets, as well as strengthening its UK network.

He will work closely with the executive leadership team and key stakeholders to develop and execute the company’s new strategy; and deliver the new updated financial targets.

Higgins joins Strutt & Parker from BNP Paribas in London, where he spent 20 years in senior leadership roles, most recently managing director, UK Corporate Client Coverage.

Higgins said: “We have a well-defined strategy, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional results through our focus on technology, innovation and high-quality service.

“I look forward to working with Guy Robinson, head of residential, Kate Moisson, head of rural and Tamerah Couchman to build on the company’s strong foundation and unlock new opportunities to drive growth and generate long-term value for our shareholders.”

Couchman, in her new role, will lead Strutt & Parker’s marketing and client experience strategy. She joins from Carter Jonas and brings a wealth of experience in estate agency, rural and commercial property marketing.

Couchman commented: “Strutt & Parker is a brand with exceptional heritage and client trust. I’m looking forward to elevating this further through best-in-class marketing and a seamless client experience.”

Etienne Prongue, CEO of BNP Paribas Real Estate UK, added: “These appointments underscore our dedication to investing in strong leadership and driving measurable impact across our operations and markets.

“With a renewed focus on strategic growth, the consultancy is well-positioned to support clients in navigating a rapidly evolving property landscape. Gary’s proven track record of delivering results in competitive markets, alongside Tamerah’s extensive property marketing experience make them exceptionally well-positioned to lead Strutt & Parker through the next phase of growth.”

Nick Eaton joins house. Partnership

Nick Eaton

house. Partnership has welcomed Nick Eaton to their land and new homes business. as a partner.

Eaton has more than 25 years of experience in the property industry, having previously worked for Seymours Estate Agents in Surrey, which he launched in 2006, along with Marshall Eaton Group after transitioning into property development in 2014.

house. Partnership’s founder Andrew Giller commented: “Most agencies these days are target-driven, so there’s little cooperation between offices. Our approach is totally different: we’re collaborative and very old-school in the way the partnership works: we refer business between our Partners, everyone knows what’s going on throughout the business, and it’s all for the benefit of our clients.

“Also, the experienced partner you meet is the person you’ll deal with throughout your entire sale or purchase, unlike other agencies where you’ll deal with different people in a branch office.”

Aconveyancing appoints Ben Davidson as new managing director

Ben Davidson

Conveyancing firm Aconveyancing has appointed Ben Davidson as its new managing director.

Davidson previously served as managing director of Simply Conveyancing, where he led the business through a management buyout.

Davidson commented: “Aconveyancing is a modern, values-driven firm with an outstanding reputation for service excellence.

“I’m excited to be able to get back into the property industry. From reading industry press and social media, there are clear examples where the relationships between estate agents and conveyancers are under significant strain due to increased time to exchange, poor service and generic case management systems that seem unable to prioritise or give any freedom to lawyers who are trying to deliver.

“I feel that there is now a fantastic opportunity for Aconveyancing to deliver a service designed for working with estate agents for the benefit of its clients and colleagues with a focus on performance. Aconveyacning has and continues to invest significantly into tech, automation and AI, but we understand that the property industry is a people business, relying on personal communication delivered by professionals.”
