London-based AI platform Metaview raises €30.1 million dollars to help recruiters in “the war for talent”

British startup Metaview, an AI platform that transforms job interviews into actionable hiring intelligence, has announced a €30.1 million Series B funding round to further develop their suite of AI agents.

The round was led by GV (Google Ventures), with participation from existing investors including Plural, Vertex Ventures, Seedcamp, Coeluis Capital, True Equity, Victor Riparbelli, and Barney Hussey-Yeo.

“We’re building the AI infrastructure that recruiting has always needed – not to remove the human touch, but to learn from their best decisions at scale,” said Siadhal Magos, Co-founder and CEO of Metaview. “By harnessing the data that actually matters – hiring conversations – we’re making the process radically more efficient today, and laying the foundation for radically better decisions tomorrow.”

Founded in 2018 by Siadhal Magos and Shahriar Tajbakhsh, former product and engineering leaders at Uber and Palantir, Metaview helps recruiting teams harness AI across every stage of the hiring process, from intake to final offer. They started Metaview to help leaders and operators excel at the most high-leverage activity in any organisation: building great teams.

By turning interviews into rich, actionable data, Metaview transforms interviewers into a company’s most valuable asset in the war for talent.

Metaview was founded on the conviction that hiring conversations with candidates hold the richest data for making informed talent decisions. Its AI tools capture, analyse, and leverage this context, ensuring everyone – from recruiters to hiring managers – operates from the same real-time information. Instead of relying on impressions or intuition, teams using Metaview can compare what candidates actually said with what they set out to find, adding a layer of objectivity, consistency, and insight that hiring has long lacked.

With more than three million interviews recorded to date, the platform aims to enable hiring teams to work from consistent, high-quality insight, not guesswork.

Metaview counts 2,500 customers across industries, including Sony, Brex, Deel, ElevenLabs, Deliveroo, and KellyOCG, reportedly saving 30 minutes after every interview and up to two hours per job post.

“Recruitment is one of the most important levers for change, but most hiring processes still rely on vague impressions, scattered notes, and unstructured conversations,” said Shahriar Tajbakhsh, Co-founder and CTO. “We provide the technology to turn interviews into intelligence, helping organisations improve their hiring prowess and gain competitive advantage. Unlike generic AI tools, our AI is purpose-built for hiring, with the contextual knowledge that hiring teams need to drive results – without requiring technical expertise.”

Metaview believes that traditional hiring has been left largely untouched by digital transformation. Despite high stakes, they argue that it remains plagued by poorly defined criteria, bias, and low accountability, with decisions frequently based on feeling rather than evidence. In large organisations, the problem is magnified. Knowledge of what makes a great hire is fragmented across interviewers, with no feedback loop to show which decisions worked.

“Metaview is fundamentally rethinking how hiring is done with AI. The platform automates hiring workflows whilst improving the quality of hiring decisions, a powerful combination that delights customers,” said Vidu Shanmugarajah, Partner at GV. “We’ve been impressed by both the growth and customer expansion, with leading companies across recruitment, financial services, enterprise tech, and consumer internet scaling their usage year after year. With millions of interviews processed and usage continually increasing within customers, Metaview is quickly becoming the AI partner of choice for teams hiring at scale.”

Metaview’s suite of AI agents is designed to transform every stage of the hiring process today and includes:

  • AI Notetaker: automatically captures and structures interview notes tailored to the role, stage and scorecard.
  • AI Reports: a fully customisable reporting engine for optimising the hiring funnel.
  • AI Answers: an always-on assistant that delivers instant, reliable answers about any candidate, job, or hiring process detail.
  • AI Job Posts: generates and maintains job descriptions so teams can launch new searches in seconds instead of days.

“We’re now able to deeply understand and optimise our hiring process,” said Alan Price, Head of Recruiting at Deel. “Recruiters and interviewers get hours back in their week, meaning they can give candidates their full attention, not just their leftover energy.”
