Vilnius-born AI startup Sintra has closed a $17 million seed round to expand its AI-powered assistant platform tailored for small businesses. The round was led by Andre Retterath of Earlybird VC, with participation from Inovo’s Michal Rokosz, Practica Capital’s Arvydas Bloze, and notable angel investors including Mantas Mikuckas (Vinted) and Mati Staniszewski (ElevenLabs). With over 40,000 paying customers and $12M in ARR just 12 months after launch, Sintra has emerged as one of Europe’s fastest-growing AI startups.
The company’s product offers intelligent virtual “helpers” that automate admin tasks, customer support, social media, and more—powered by its proprietary Brain AI system that learns business context across tools like Gmail, Facebook, and Google Calendar. The funding will accelerate product development and team growth, helping Sintra evolve into the go-to AI workspace for millions of entrepreneurs worldwide.
Founded in 2018, Sintra offers AI helpers designed to automate routine business activities such as social media management, customer support, and administrative tasks. The platform integrates with popular tools including Gmail, Facebook, Instagram, and Google Calendar, enabling personalized assistance through an AI system that learns the context of each business over time.
Since launching its product in May 2024, Sintra reports rapid growth, with over 40,000 paying customers and approximately $12 million in annual recurring revenue within the first year. The company intends to use the new funding to expand its product and engineering teams and develop additional features aimed at simplifying small business operations.
Small businesses represent a significant portion of the global economy, contributing nearly 44% of worldwide GDP, yet many face challenges related to managing multiple roles and operational complexity. Sintra’s platform aims to address these challenges by providing AI tools that can reduce administrative burdens and support business growth.
The company’s founders highlight the early-stage nature of the product and emphasize their commitment to iterating and improving the platform as they scale.
