TODAY, a Copenhagen-based Vertical AI startup, has secured €1 million in a pre-Seed funding round to scale its product development, grow its sales team, and stay on track to becoming the trusted AI partner for financial advisors.
The round was led by Berlin-based SaaS fund Lucid Capital, with participation from several angel investors experienced in AI, InsurTech, and financial services, including professionals from CLARK, Ascendia, Harvey, Meta, Thinksurance, and Covago.
“We deliver peace of mind at scale by empowering advisors with cutting-edge AI,ˮ said CEO Michael Gackstatter. “While we invest heavily into our AI capabilities and team, our edge is simple: Listening to and rapidly iterating alongside the industryʼs most customer-obsessed advisors.ˮ
Founded in 2024, TODAY develops AI tools tailored specifically for financial advisors. Its debut product, a smart AI assistant, aims to automate documentation and coaching workflows, drawing actionable insights from client conversations and ultimately helping advisors focus on building human relationships rather than being bogged down in repetitive administrative tasks.
According to the company, advisors using the assistant save up to five hours a week, thanks to features like instant call summaries, documentation formatting tailored to advisor needs, and CRM enrichment based on conversation context.
Gackstatter, CEO and Co-founder of TODAY, brings experience from his time at German InsurTech unicorn CLARK, where he helped grow the company from pitch deck to scale-up success. His work building advisory journeys at CLARK exposed a consistent bottleneck in advisor productivity—a challenge he now aims to solve with TODAY’s AI-native solution.
TODAY’s product stands out for its focus on user experience within the advisory domain. It integrates with popular meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, and GotoMeeting, enabling seamless recording and transcription across client calls.
It also offers instant documentation features, ensuring that every customer situation, task, and portfolio update is captured in a secure, compliant way. The startup emphasises its alignment with the AI Act and GDPR regulations and claims a fast onboarding process—90 minutes per team and just 3 minutes per advisor.
Prominent clients include Lieblings Makler, Käpsele, and Penzilla, who use TODAY to refine advisory quality and increase operational efficiency.
The software’s coaching tools deliver session-level insights such as talk ratios, cross-sell opportunities, and customer reaction analysis. By surfacing “golden nuggets” from conversations, TODAY aims to make advisors 30% more effective in their daily work.
“Coaching is a key value driver for us. TODAY helps us getting 20x more insights from customer conversations and strengthens our feedback culture,” added Käpsele GmbH.
