Hasselt-based ResultX has secured over €400k in innovation grants from the Flemish Agency for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (VLAIO) to make ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting accessible to millions of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Europe.
“We’re incredibly proud to share that ResultX has secured over €400K in innovation grants from VLAIO – Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship (Agency for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Flanders),” said ResultX in a social media statement. “This is a massive vote of confidence in our mission to make ESG truly accessible for millions of SMEs. Backed by this support, we’re doubling down on finetuning our AI models and accelerating the development of our platform.”
Founded in 2022 by Simon Van de Voorde, Joos Kesters, and Andries Paesen, ResultX is building a user-friendly ESG platform designed specifically for SMEs – an often overlooked segment when it comes to compliance tools.
The startup leverages artificial intelligence to automate the extraction, analysis, and reporting of ESG data, enabling businesses to generate real-time, audit-ready reports at the click of a button. By eliminating the need for spreadsheets and manual work, ResultX aims to help SMEs navigate growing sustainability expectations from customers, regulators, and investors alike.
According to their website, the software reads a clients’ documents, invoices, and internal files, then automatically organises ESG data using widely adopted frameworks so they see where they stand and what’s missing. It connects directly to their tools and supply chain, pulling live ESG data without chasing reports, emailing colleagues, or entering numbers by hand.
ResultX scans the data and highlights blind spots “in minutes“, reportedly turning raw input into ready-to-use insights. It also pulls ESG data across the clients’ value chain, helping them stay credible across every inbound and outbound link in their ecosystem.
The newly secured funding from VLAIO will enable ResultX to accelerate the development of its platform, with a particular focus on refining its AI models and expanding automation features. This includes capabilities to automatically respond to standard ESG inquiries from banks or clients, as well as streamline policy documentation and data integration with existing systems.
“But it’s not just about the tech or the grants. In the end it’s about the people. Our people. With an average age of 25.7 (!), our team is proving that passion and grit can beat experience. Every day, we’re pushing the boundaries of what’s possible,” added the company.
ResultX’s vision to simplify ESG compliance aligns with broader regulatory shifts across Europe, where transparency and sustainability are fast becoming non-negotiable.
