BeBeez roundup with eToro support about the performances of private capital firms listed on global exchanges.

Last week, all the private capital stocks that BeBeez and eToro monitor for Trading Floor had a good performance. Only KKR Real Estate Finance Trust stock price plummeted by 2.3%.

The 90-day moratorium on tariffs that Donald Trump declared is a sign of a more conciliatory attitude of US trade policy towards the EU and China. The market sentiment for the financial sector and private capital sector is positive, therefore these slips could also be buying opportunities.

A macroeconomic environment that is less volatile than at the beginning of April moved the investor focus on news about single companies. Last week best performer Ares Commercial Real Estate Finance (+10.3%) benefited from a promising quarterly earnings performance (0.24 US Dollars earning per share and 0.16 US Dollars dividend per share) and the significant deployment of 615 million in new projects (press release).

The market sentiment also boosted KKR & Co. LP (+9.9%), which, however, is still down 6% since the beginning of April.

Market participants also expect NYSE-listed Brookfield Asset Management (BAM +9%), a2022 spinoff of Canada’s Brookfield, to post a strong growth in profits and volumes, with approximately 1 trillion investments in a private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and private debt.

Furthermore, the firm’s placement of a senior bond of 750 million received S&P a rating of A- (press release). BAM closed April in positive territory (3.7%) and will release its 1Q25 results on 6 May, Tuesday, therefore the stock could keep attracting investors resources.

Los Angeles’ private credit firm Ares Management Corporation (AMC +9%), the owner of Ares Commercial Real Estate Finance that at the end of 2024 managed 24 billion resources, benefited from the growth of the US economy (despite the tariff storm). Last week, AMC said it will allocate further resources of up to 2.5 billion for the credit lines on funds that is currently investing, a prerequisite for a future increase in volumes and interest flows.
