Data center equipment provider Cross-Guard Limited has collapsed in the UK.
The Scunthorpe-based company has provided specialist kit, such as hot and cold aisle containment, modular caging, and ventilated server safes, to companies such as IBM, HP, Google, and Amazon since its establishment in 2016.
As reported by Yahoo News, the collapse of the company has led to the loss of 17 jobs. Administrators have retained 22 staff to help complete orders and for installations on contracts.
Begbies Traynor and CRG Insolvency & Financial have been appointed as liquidators and are now looking for potential buyers for the business assets.
A spokesperson for for Begbies Traynor said: “It is very early days, and the joint administrators are actively working through all the financial information in detail to establish and contact all of the creditors and debtors, and to understand the cause of the failure of the business, but it is already clear that the business was unviable
“Sadly, redundancies have already been forced, and more are expected once the current work in progress is completed and the contracted projects are fulfilled.”
Most recently, Cross-Guard Limited was an exhibitor at the Data Centre World conference in London last month.
