Legrand has acquired Australian data center design firm Computer Room Solutions (CRS).
As part of its “active bolt-on acquisition strategy,” the company this week announced the acquisition of CRS, which provides design, development, manufacturing, and commissioning services of white space infrastructure for data centers (including structural ceilings, airflow optimization containment, and mechanical walls).
Founded in 2006 and based in Mascot, Sydney, CRS employs nearly 80 people with an annual revenue of around €30 million ($33m). Terms of the deal were not shared.
Legrand said CRS’ solutions ideally complement Legrand’s portfolio of offerings in both white and grey spaces in the regions.
Benoît Coquart, Legrand’s CEO, said: “We are thrilled to announce this acquisition, which will significantly strengthen our positions both in Oceania and in the structurally promising data center vertical, which already represented around 20 percent of the group’s revenue in 2024.”
Headquartered in Limoges, France, Legrand is a French industrial group. The company currently operates in 90 countries with its offerings including electrical equipment and digital building infrastructure.
The acquisition follows a busy 2024 for Legrand in the data center space. The company acquired five companies in the segment last year, including Canadian busbar specialist Power Bus Way, Netrack in India, Davenham in Ireland, Vass in Australia, and UPSistemas in Colombia.
