Iconic Italian fashion firm Dolce&Gabbana (D&G) is holding talks with lenders for raising a 150 million euros facility without selling a stake to an investor or launching an IPO (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Alfonso Dolce is the ceo of D&G.
Nasdaq-listed Italian biotech Genenta Science, a scaleup that Luigi Naldini and ceo Pierluigi Paracchi created in 2014, issued a 20 million euros mandatory convertible bond that ENEA Tech and Biomedical (ETB – a vehicle that has 1.7 billion of aum) subscribed (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Paracchi said that investors may convert the debt in equity in March 2028 with a two-year lock-up. ETB will have up to 29% of Genenta with a conversion price of 17,64 US Dollars. The company will invest such resources in its drug pipeline. The first 7.5 million euros tranche should provide sufficient funding to assess safety in the ongoing Phase 1/2a study for mRCC. The company will issue a 12.5 million tranche that ETB will subscribe subject to the achievement of safety and tolerability in the ongoing Phase 1/2a study for mRCC and other conditions.
Italian furniture producer Guzzini&Fontana Projects attracted a 12-years 2 million euros financing facility from BdM Banca (Gruppo Mediocredito Centrale) that will support its organic growth (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Fondo di Garanzia per le pmi will provide a warranty of 80%. Guzzini&Fontana belongs to Gary Fontana (31.34%), Gianluca Guzzini (31.33%), Mian Qiu (31.33%), Paolo Corradi (3%), and Giuseppe D’Ecclesia (3%). The company has sales of 7.3 million, an ebitda of 0.764 million and a net financial debt of 3.7 million.
Ver Capital, a firm that belongs to Sienna Investment Managers since 2024, launched Sienna Héphaistos, a private debt fund for the defence sector that aims to raise one billion euros (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Paris-listed Groupe Bruxelles Lambert (GBL) is the owner of Sienna. Sienna Héphaïstos is article 8 SFDR compliant and will target assets in Italy, France and Germany.
