Managed hosting company Hyve has launched a new data center deployment in Frankfurt, Germany.
Announced this week, the company has taken space in an Equinix data center. From there, Hyve will offer services including colocation, managed private cloud, managed enterprise cloud, hybrid and multi-cloud solutions, dedicated and bare metal servers, and Disaster Recovery as a Service.
“Our customer-centric approach has always been the driver behind our expansion into data center locations,” said Charlotte Webb, marketing and operations director at Hyve Managed Hosting. “Following the successful launch of our European hub in Germany last year and the incoming demand from our European customers for reliable and customizable infrastructure, it was a natural step to expand our presence in the region.”
Donna Lawton, senior director, partner account management at Hyve, added: “Equinix has been a trusted partner to Hyve Managed Hosting for many years, delivering world-class digital infrastructure to support their growth wherever their business takes them. Our collaboration enables Hyve to offer secure, high-performance cloud solutions to European and international businesses so they can scale and succeed in the digital economy.”
Hyve offers services from more than 30 cities worldwide. It has deployments with colo companies including Equinix, Global Switch, and NTT – though the vast majority are with Equinix.
As well as Frankfurt, Hyve offers services from Equinix data centers in Munich, Düsseldorf, and Hamburg. The company officially launched a German unit last year.
Equinix currently operates nine data centers within Frankfurt – a mix of colocation and hyperscale facilities.
Hyve said it is currently exploring opportunities to expand and enhance its network further in other strategic locations globally, with an “increased focus” on the APAC region.
