The Nordic PropTech Awards 2025 celebrated the latest innovations in real estate technology, with Finland emerging as the standout winner. Announced in Copenhagen, the awards recognized six companies leading advancements in property management, fintech, energy, construction technology, sustainability, and urban mobility. Finland secured victories in half of the categories, underscoring its growing influence in the proptech sector.
Now in its fourth year, the Nordic PropTech Awards have become a key platform for identifying and promoting forward-thinking startups and scaleups in the built environment. The competition, hosted by PropTech Denmark in collaboration with its Nordic counterparts, aims to foster digital transformation and cross-border cooperation within the real estate industry. This year, more than 100 companies competed for recognition, with an expert jury of over 50 industry leaders selecting the most impactful solutions.
The winners demonstrated significant strides in key industry areas. Finland’s Smartvatten was recognized for its advancements in property management, while Denmark’s Resights earned the fintech award for improving transparency and efficiency in real estate transactions. Norway’s Sunday Power took the top spot in the energy category, while Iceland’s Treble Technologies was awarded for its contributions to sustainable and healthy buildings. Finland continued its strong showing with Koherent excelling in construction technology and Commu receiving recognition for its work in mobility and sustainable cities.
“It’s a meaningful recognition of the work we’re doing at Resights – that we’re making an impact on the real estate industry and that our technology is adding real value to the sector,” states Mikkel Duif, Co-Founder and CTO of Resights.
“We are grateful that water management has gotten a seat at the table in the real estate industry,” adds Jens Karlsson, Sales Director Norway of Smartvatten. “Water management has been a difficult area because of non-scalable and expensive solutions. Smartvatten is changing and disrupting this – with our plug’n play solutions and top of the line technology analyzing all data in real time – all property owners, property managers and tenants now get the same source of truth across any borders.”
This year’s awards highlighted emerging trends such as automation, data-driven decision-making, and sustainability. Water management, often overlooked in real estate, gained attention through Smartvatten’s innovative approach to real-time analytics. Similarly, fintech solutions like those developed by Resights are reshaping how real estate transactions and investments are handled across the region. These advancements reflect a broader industry shift towards digital tools that enhance efficiency and sustainability in urban planning and property management.
Beyond the accolades, the winners will now gain access to mentorship programs, investor connections, and strategic networking opportunities to help accelerate their growth. With sponsorship support from major industry players including VELUX, Coor, Thylander, and Granlund, the awards continue to drive progress in the Nordic real estate sector. As technology reshapes the built environment, the Nordic PropTech Awards serve as a benchmark for the innovations set to define the industry’s future.
