Jessica Hardwick-Langley joins Spicerhaart as director

Jessica Hardwick-Langley

Spicerhaart has appointed a new homes & affordable housing director who has been tasked with growing the business by forging bnetter relationships with developers and housing associations.

Jessica Hardwick-Langley previously spent 20 years at Connells in their new homes team. She is also a qualified counsellor.

Hardwick-Langley said: “So many agents or support services think about what they want and focus on this alone.

“My role is to listen to the needs of the developer or housing association and help them achieve their goals by collaborating and communicating every step of the journey.

“For me, everything I try to do is about adding value; I will check in with myself and often ask my clients whether it is or not.

“If it is, that’s great, if it’s not, it’s time to find another way – it’s as simple as that.”

Hardwick-Langley said she was looking forward to working with MD Tim Wardley and helping build up Spicerhaart’s new homes operation.

“I did something similar in my previous role and it was exciting to watch the team grow and develop,” she added. “I also worked with Tim for 15 years and am really looking forward to doing so again.”

Wardley commented: “I know first-hand how good Jessica is in this field and can’t wait to see the impact she has on the New Homes business.

“She is absolutely exceptional at what she does and it is a big coup for us to have her here at Spicerhaart.”

Beauchamp Estates appoints new directors

William Carrington

Beauchamp Estates has appointed co-founder of LonRes, William Carrington, as non-executive chairman, and international business builder and finance professional Gerard Soames, as a non-executive director.

These new appointments to the Board of Directors are part of the company’s strategy to expand into a full-service agency, providing in-house services including valuation, building surveying and legal services to its clientele.

Carrington joins as non-executive chairman of the board, following a near 40-year career in the prime London residential arena, as well as having co-founded LonRes 25 years ago, along with Anthony Payne.

Gerard Soames

Carrington, who remains chairman of LonRes, commented: “As an independent company, Beauchamp Estates punch far above their weight and are both respected and admired by their contemporaries in the Prime Central London arena, both at home and abroad. I am proud to be a part of the next stage of their growth and development.”

Soames joins the Board of Directors with a track record of initiating and managing strategic change, developing high performance teams and building businesses across a range of industries for over 30 years. He has held senior roles at firms including KPMG, Tetra Pak, Credit Suisse and Royal Mail group.

Gary Hersham, founding director of Beauchamp Estates, commented: “We are very proud to welcome William Carrington and Gerard Soames to Beauchamp Estates, where they bring their considerable experience and expertise to assist us with our plans for continued growth in London and beyond. Having such well respected industry specialists join us serves as a testament to the brand that we have spent over 40 years building.”

Jonathan Godfrey joins Newmark as head of valuation

Jonathan Godfrey

Newmark has appointed Jonathan Godfrey as head of valuation in the UK.

Godfrey has specialised in residential valuation, expanding the UK team to cover all aspects of the living sector including Build to Rent, co-living and development. He also advises banks and lending institutions on major residential-led development including on major brownfield regeneration sites across London and in the regions.

Godfrey is taking on the role from Richard Moir, who will retain responsibility and focus on developing Newmark’s UK Operational Real Estate valuation, advisory and transactional services.

Godfrey commented, “This is a very exciting time for Newmark in the UK, advancing its brand presence. Talented individuals are joining us across sectors and service lines as we grow rapidly.

“Our sector-based valuation teams, strengthened with best-in-class valuers, ensure we consistently deliver quality, specialist valuation advice as our client base expands globally.
