Lovable, a Stockholm-based AI startup behind the “world’s first” AI fullstack engineer, announced that it has raised €14.3 million in a pre-Series A round to expand its integrations with services like Supabase for database, and GitHub for code storage
The round was led by Creandum, as well as notable angel investors like Charlie Songhurst (Meta board), Adam D’Angelo and Thomas Wolf (Huggingface).
The funding follows Lovable’s notable growth —reaching €16.2 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), 30k paying customers, and 25k new apps being built on the platform daily, within just three months of launch — making it (according to Creandum) the fastest-growing startup in European history.
“Less than 1% of the world’s population can code, which is a significant drag on innovation,” said Anton Osika, Co-founder and CEO of Lovable. “Imagine if anyone with a powerful idea could turn that idea into a product? This is the vision we’re making a reality at Lovable.”
Founded in 2023, Lovable looks to transform how software products are built by leveraging advanced AI technology. The platform enables anyone to create professional software without coding knowledge, while allowing technical users to build applications 20x faster than traditional methods.
Lovable attributes its rapid growth trajectory to the fact that not just developers, but entrepreneurs, designers, business owners, product managers and operators can all use Lovable to build software.
Unlike no-code tools that have a limited set of capabilities, Lovable enables building the simple things – personal, professional and portfolio websites – as well as much more advanced applications such as interactive dashboards, business automations, and full startups, all with one tool.
Lovable has demonstrated the ability to do more with less—achieving this growth with €1.9 million in capital expenditure. Now, with €14.3 million in fresh funding, the company aims to scale its vision at a rapid pace.
Osika highlights that this funding will allow Lovable to double down on AI advancements and bring its powerful platform to even more users worldwide.
With this new capital, Lovable will invest in further AI breakthroughs, enhance its automation capabilities, and expand its integrations with leading third-party services like Supabase for database, and GitHub for code storage.
Fredrik Cassel, general partner at Creandum, emphasised Lovable’s potential: “I haven’t seen this level of user love for a product since we invested in Spotify. It’s truly astounding. Lovable has the potential to become one of Europe’s next generational companies in this new era of AI.”
According to Lovable, the AI-driven software development market is expected to reach €25.5 billion by 2030, positioning them at the forefront of a technological revolution.
