Swedish AI agent startup Lovable has raised an undisclosed funding round, with participation from leading European VC firm Creandum.
Startups building AI agents are attracting a lot of attention, with Sifted data showing European companies in the sector picked up almost €500m in the first six weeks of 2025 alone.
Lovable is developing AI agents for coding, enabling users to create websites and apps without learning how to code. The company previously raised €6.8m in a funding round backed by Hummingbird, ByFounders and angels — including Creandum cofounder Stefan Lindeberg.
In a since-deleted blog post titled “Backing Lovable: Move Fast and Make Things”, seen by Sifted, Creandum confirmed its investment in Lovable. A source familiar with the deal tells Sifted that Creandum is leading the round.
London-based partner Fredrik Cassell explained why he wanted to invest in the company.
“The last time I kept waking up in the middle of the night thinking about the user love for a product we were in discussion with was in 2007, in the process towards investing in Spotify,” he wrote.

The blog post — apparently published in error — was dated February 25, 2020, more than three years before Lovable was even founded. It was removed from Creandum’s website shortly after Sifted approached the companies for comment.
Cassel continued: “In the few short weeks between meeting founders, Anton [Osika] and Fabian [Hedin], and signing a term sheet to invest, Lovable’s ARR increased by 5x. As I write this, they are adding $2m of ARR per week. We’ve never before seen this kind of phenomenal growth.”
Creandum and Lovable did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
