Pulsetto, a Vilnius-based healthtech startup specializing in vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) for stress management and mental resilience, has secured a €2 million investment from Scalewolf, a venture fund focused on dual-use technologies for both commercial and defense sectors. The wearable device, which helps users manage stress and improve sleep, is now being adapted for use in high-stress environments like the military and security sectors. With this funding, Pulsetto aims to enhance its product for defense applications, support further research, and scale its production, building on its previous success, including a €400,000 investment from Lithuanian Shark Tank and a €20 million valuation.

Pulsetto is a hands-free, wearable device designed to stimulate the vagus nerve with gentle electrical impulses, helping the body shift from “fight or flight” to “rest and digest.”

The company has recently emerged as one of the fastest-growing startups in the health and wellness space. It has just secured a €20 million valuation after raising €400,000 in investment on Lithuanian Shark Tank, and has been featured in a Netflix documentary this year.

Its next challenge is to help military and security forces strengthen their psychological endurance. Controlled via a mobile app, it is an accessible tool for soldiers, first responders, and high-performance professionals who need to stay sharp, resilient, and ready for action.

“The modern battlefield isn’t just about physical endurance–it’s about mental resilience. Stress, anxiety, and burnout pose as much of a risk to military personnel as physical fatigue. Our technology helps individuals reset their nervous system, and maintain peak cognitive performance,” said Povilas Sabaliauskas, CEO and co-founder of Pulsetto.

Scalewolf, in collaboration with the Lithuanian Ministry of Economy and Innovation, works on supporting dual-use technologies–innovations that serve both commercial and defense applications. Pulsetto stood out as a prime investment candidate thanks to its unique blend of hardware, software, and medical technology.

“Pulsetto is addressing one of the most overlooked challenges in defense: mental endurance. We invest in startups that solve real-world problems, and the demand for psychological resilience solutions in the military is undeniable. Especially seeing what’s happening in Ukraine still to this day. Soldiers, first responders, and security personnel operate under extreme stress every day. Pulsetto’s ability to help them recover faster and stay focused makes it a game-changer,” said Edvinas Kerza, Managing Partner at Scalewolf.

The stress and demands placed on soldiers, first responders, and security personnel are unparalleled–they are exposed to making instant decisions in threatening environments. Constant exposure to combat, emergencies, and extended deployments have a tremendous toll on their body and psyche.

Pulsetto’s technology, already validated in the wellness space, has the potential to bring immediate benefits to those operating in extreme conditions.

“Military readiness isn’t just about firepower–it’s about the people behind it. Our mission is to help soldiers recover faster, stay sharp, and sustain resilience under extreme conditions,” added Sabaliauskas.

This partnership shows the rising demand for dual-use innovations–technologies that enhance both civilian well-being and national security.

“We don’t just invest in companies—we help shape the future. Pulsetto’s impact on both everyday wellness and military resilience makes it an ideal partner for us. We believe in solutions that strengthen human endurance, and Pulsetto has the potential to redefine how we approach recovery and performance,” said Edvinas Kerza.

Pulsetto is set to redefine the boundaries of health tech and defense innovation, reshaping the future of mental resilience and ensuring that those who protect us have the tools they need to perform at their best.

“In today’s world, endurance wins battles–whether on the front lines, in the boardroom, or beyond. The future of performance starts with a clear mind,” concluded Sabaliauskas.
