Former head of Relocation Agent Network joins Upstix
Richard Durrant has joined Upstix as head of commercial partnerships and will be focused on expanding strategic partnerships with top tier firms across the UK property sector.
Durrant has over 28 years of experience in the property sector, spanning from being group lettings director and managing director of Intercounty Estate Agency to having served as managing director of The Relocation Agent Network.
He brings extensive expertise and connections from across the property sector and will build on the number of partnerships Upstix has launched already.
Alongside Durrant, Issy Cooper joins the busisness as growth manager, reporting to Upstix’s head of growth Jack Edwards.
Fred Jones, CEO of Upstix, said: “Upstix is in a high growth phase, which has seen our enquiries grow by over 1300% YoY. The UK home buying and selling market can be extremely complex, costly and time consuming and we believe more needs to be done to help people navigating this space.
“We are immensely proud of the service we can offer home sellers – being able to make an instant cash offer for a property and helping customers sell their property in just a few weeks. At the same time, we are acutely aware that there are other organisation and businesses out there that complement what we are doing and by forming strategic partnerships with them, we can offer people coming to us an even better home selling process.
“Our recent appointments of Rich and Issy are testament to the importance we are placing on those partnerships, and I look forward to our team continuing its work in this space.”
Trio promoted at Dacres
Dacre, Son & Hartley, has promoted three key team members across its residential division.
Both Tom Galloway and Daniel Elven have become senior associates at the Yorkshire-based agency, while Jonathan Raynor has become an associate.
Galloway is the branch manager at Dacres in Settle and he joined the firm in 2013. The company says that during the last 12 years he has proved himself to be an invaluable part of the team, negotiating hundreds of sales, whilst also manging the Settle team.
Elven joined Dacres in 2017 and is the branch manager at the Bingley office. He has more than 17 years industry experience.
Raynor is the branch manager for Baildon, which also covers the Guiseley area. He previously ran his own estate agency business in Manchester before joining Dacres five years ago.
Patrick McCutcheon, head of residential at Dacres, said: “Tom, Daniel and Jonathan all live in the areas they operate in, and have great local knowledge and experience when it comes to the property market in Settle, Bingley, Baildon and the surrounding towns and villages. The three branches are several of our top performing offices, with each having a really solid market share, as well as excellent client service ratings.
“All three have had an excellent start to 2025, listing dozens of homes for sale during the first few weeks of January and generating a healthy influx of buyer enquiries in recent weeks, and they thoroughly deserve their promotions.”
DVSR appoints head of global partnerships
DVSR, the digital marketing platform headed up by estate agent Daniel Daggers, has appointed a head of global partnerships to spearhead the growth of its international developments business.
Graeme Grossman joins ADVSR with a 24-year career in property and will be capitalising on his breadth of experience and industry contacts to support the expansion of ADVSR across the real estate sector worldwide.
Grossman commented: “I’ve been particularly interested in the utilisation of networks in real estate marketing to increase global reach and saw the biggest challenges and frustrations of my clients answered in ADVSR. The collaborative nature of the approach is a real gamechanger in connecting developers directly with international markets, as is the ability to react swiftly to new markets and active territories as identified by the platform’s extensive, real-time data.
“The unique capabilities for off-market activities have also garnered significant interest and I’m already in conversations with developers across the UK, Europe and US, many of which have approached us directly to learn more. I’m very much looking forward to working with the team here to bring how our industry markets property into the 21st Century.”
Daggers added: “Real estate marketing has been a costly business and limited in reach. ADVSR removes the limitations of what has become an outdated model and is ultimately democratising global property marketing without compromising on quality and control. Personal brand, relationships and referrals are now more important and effective than ever and ADVSR is allowing the sector to realise the potential of them on a global scale.
“ADVSR has been growing rapidly, reaching $10bn worth of global real estate being marketed across the platform already, and we are looking forward to expanding even further this year with Graeme building on our portfolio of leading developer partners.”
