Appointment of acquisition director set to supercharge Spicerhaart expansion plan
Spicerhaart’s first ever acquisitions director has urged any business owners wanting to sell to get in touch as he looks to spearhead the company’s exciting expansion strategy.
Joel Osbourne, 45, will be helping Spicerhaart identify agencies to acquire and then integrating them into the independent property services business.
Having started his career in lettings, Osbourne eventually took on a similar role at Leader Romans Group (LRG) where he had huge success expanding their portfolio.
“I can’t wait to get going and get the first acquisition under my belt,” he said. “It’s such an exciting role and is perfectly suited to me.”
Osbourne continued: “I started my career as a lettings consultant way back in 1999, and having an understanding of how that side of the business works will definitely benefit me here.
“We will be looking to bring in businesses in geographical areas where we don’t currently have a footprint, but also portfolio acquisitions which might help strengthen us in areas where we already have branches.
“But all the acquisitions have got to consider the value, not just in terms of pounds and pence, but also how it will add value to Spicerhaart.
“I would love to hear from anybody that is considering selling, even if they don’t want to do so immediately.
“All conversations can be completely confidential, and I’m looking forward to meeting people across the country.”
Antony Lark, Spicerhaart Joint CEO, said: “We have a huge ambition to grow our footprint, adding value to our existing business operations.
“It’s great to have Joel on board who brings a wealth of experience to the role, to help us deliver our objectives.”
Founder and chairman, Paul Smith, added: “We’re looking to acquire businesses that share our vision and values and possess a high-performance culture and Joel is the right man to lead this search, and integrate them into Spicerhaart.”
