Zynap, a Barcelona-based cybersecurity startup leveraging Gen-AI to fight cybercrime proactively by simulating cyber threat tactics, has announced its launch and close of their €5.7 million funding round to fuel their expansion plans.
The round was co-led by Kibo Ventures and Kfund, including key business angles. Together, they have provided the necessary capital to accelerate Zynap’s technology development and expansion plans.
“Our mission is simple yet ambitious: Outsmarting Cybercrime. We believe cybercrime is a challenge that cannot be tackled with generic solutions but requires advanced technology, reliable data, and a disruptive approach,” said Founder and CEO Daniel Solís.
Founded in 2024 by Daniel Solís, Zynap benefits from his experience as former CEO and founder of Blueliv and the backing of advisors like Pedro Castillo, founder of Onum and Devo, Spain’s first cybersecurity unicorn.
Zynap aims to redefine Threat Intelligence through technology that delivers actionable and hard-to-access operational insights. Its solutions empower enterprises and MSSPs (Managed Security Service Providers) to stay ahead of evolving digital threats. Zynap’s approach offers a practical, actionable focus, differentiating itself from existing market alternatives.
“We’ve known the team for over a decade, and it’s inspiring to see them come together again, stronger and more experienced, around such a distinctive and essential product for the cybersecurity industry. We’re thrilled to invest in this team and their new venture for the second time,” says Juan Santamaría, partner at Kibo Ventures.
“We’re investing in Zynap because we see an extraordinary team with a clear vision and a product that solves real problems for large enterprises and MSSPs. We’re excited to be part of this journey,” adds Jaime Novoa, partner at Kfund.
Zynap is designed to meet the needs of MSSPs and Fortune 2000 companies seeking agile, scalable, and effective tools to defend against cyberattacks. In a landscape where threats constantly evolve, Zynap looks to deliver innovative, market-differentiating solutions.
Its standardised solutions ensure integration with existing tools and frameworks while offering customisation to suit specific client and sector needs. Zynap provides measurable outcomes that empower clients to make informed decisions.
Additionally, by leveraging generative AI alongside other advanced technologies, Zynap reportedly delivers precise results that enable businesses to protect themselves from cybercriminal threats even before they occur.
Zynap’s team is currently developing a trial version of its product, set to be released in the coming months.
