Genesy, the Barelona-based AI-driven startup dedicated to reshaping B2B sales processes, has successfully raised €5 million in a seed funding round in order to grow its team and scale in key markets.
The round was led by Samaipata, a pan-European venture capital firm known for its focus on digital businesses with network effects. Joining Samaipata are existing backers KFund and Itnig.
According to Genesy, this funding marks the “largest round in a Gen-AI native company led by a Spanish venture capital to date“.
Kai Brandt, CEO and founder of Genesy, said: “This funding will allow us to consolidate our technology and build the first multilingual sales agent capable of selling anything to anyone, anywhere in the world. Mastering the sales equation through our AI agents will position us at the forefront of the digital workforce revolution. With the right team, resources, partners, and industry expertise, we are ready to become the largest provider of digital agents for business tasks of all kinds.”
Founded in 2023 with offices in Madrid and Barcelona, Genesy aims to be a leader in leveraging AI to streamline B2B sales operations. The company’s platform integrates advanced AI technologies to autonomously identify, qualify, and engage potential clients for businesses.
Through innovative tools like AI-powered digital sales agents and a proprietary AI voice system, Genesy reportedly offers solutions to boost sales team productivity by up to tenfold while significantly reducing operational costs.
Within just nine months, Genesy has grown its team to over 20 members and achieved notable milestones, including integrating over 30 data sources and developing an intelligent workflow system.
The platform has already gained traction, with clients such as Factorial, Sequra, Metricool, and Red Points benefiting from its services.
With this fresh capital, the company plans to expand its team to 40 employees by 2025 and scale its presence in key markets, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France, and the Netherlands.
Luis Garay, Partner at Samaipata, remarked: “This investment reinforces Samaipata’s commitment to Gen-AI companies that unlock the potential of LLMs for specific use cases. We believe Genesy has the potential to redefine sales efficiency and productivity on a global scale. We’re excited to partner with them as they accelerate their growth in a global market.”
The startup’s ultimate goal is to lead the revolution of “digital employees,” automating repetitive tasks not only in sales but also in customer service and talent acquisition. Genesy’s vision aligns with the broader trend of generative AI applications gaining momentum globally, a factor that has drawn the attention of notable investors.
