CyGO Entrepreneurs, a Lyon-based venture studio dedicated to fostering innovation in the European cybersecurity sector, has announced its inaugural €5 million fundraising round to support the creation of 10 cybersecurity startups.
This milestone investment was led by key European tech figures and supported by the French Tech Acceleration fund, managed by Bpifrance, along with BNP Paribas Development.
Aurélie Clerc, co-founder of CyGO Entrepreneurs, remarked: “CyGO Entrepreneurs is much more than a cybersecurity project; it’s a call to a new generation of European leaders, capable of steering the future industrial successes of our sector. The support of these leading investors allows us to pave the way for strong, ambitious, and Europe-rooted cybersecurity.”

of cybersecurity champions is a necessity for Europe, and this support from influential

Malte Pollmann, former CEO of cybersecurity firm Utimaco and an investor in the round, emphasised: “Investing in CyGO Entrepreneurs means leveraging the priceless wealth of experience. By transforming the insights and expertise of its founders and partners into an actionable methodology, the studio empowers its startups to navigate the critical stages o f growth more quickly and effectively, establishing themselves in the European market.”
Pierre Gillet, Investment Director at Bpifrance, stated: “By investing in CyGO Entrepreneurs, we reaffirm our commitment to strengthening technological sovereignty. This project embodies a clear ambition: to create companies capable of competing globally while consolidating the local ecosystem. We are delighted to contribute on behalf of the French government.”
The studio plans to utilise the funding to support its startups with operational and technical expertise, foster collaboration among cybersecurity experts, and lay the groundwork for long-term industrial success.
