London-based startup Oh has announced the successful completion of its €4.4 million seed funding round to develop its platform of “digital twins” of influencers and online creators.
The round included investments from Tangent, Big Brain Holdings, Kosmos Ventures, Tagus Capital and Bodhi Ventures, alongside Yan Liberman from Delphi Ventures.
Its flagship product ‘OhChat’, already nearing 10,000 users across 174 countries, allows online creators and influencers to develop AI-driven “digital twins” that generate real revenue and engage with users. Alongside offering original characters for the public to engage with.
Oh’s co-founder and CEO, Nic Young, said: “By combining AI’s ability to generate and personalise content with the power to create communities with agentic capabilities, built on the decentralization and censorship resistance of Web3, traditional systems simply can’t compete. It’s a paradigm shift for creators, consumers and investors alike.”
Founded in 2022, Oh looks to the future uncensored AI infrastructure and products, powering immersive experiences and enabling personalised, interoperable AI characters. Focused on the Creator and Social-Fi landscapes, Oh’s proprietary multi-modal AI technology has the potential to enable monetisation opportunities.
The funding will help Oh launch their ‘superModels’; autonomous, AI-based characters with agents capabilities, which will offer potential revenue streams for digital creators. These AI agents have the ability to grow their own following on social media by interacting with followers and developing personalities based on these continues digital interactions.
The Oh website promises “immersive, uncensored conversations with your favourite characters and digital twins of real-world celebrities and creators”.
“The key to their profitability lies in the integration of superModels with globally recognised creators and celebrities,” Young added.
The platform is collaborating with celebrities, such as Carmen Electra, Rio Sage, and Kaili Thorne, leveraging their significant fan bases to promote and monetise its AI agents.
Alongside this, the platform plans to launch its utility token in the first quarter of 2025, which will be deployed on the Solana blockchain along with all the protocol’s on-chain assets. This token will offer staking rewards and enable tokenised, fractional ownership of its AI agents, allowing multiple users to share in the growth and revenue generated by the same agent.
According to Young, some AI agents have already generated substantial monthly revenues for their creators: “Both types are generating monthly revenues in the four to five-figure range. This success has been achieved even before them being unleashed on X to build their funnel to expand reach and convert users,” he said.
These digital twins are capable of generating text, image, and voice content (with video coming soon), allowing creators to maintain their brand across social media without requiring their physical presence or time.
Built on fine-tuned models with their DNA stored on the blockchain, these digital entities seamlessly integrate across platforms and formats for diverse content creation and user engagement. Creators retain full control over their digital twins, setting content fees and keeping 80% of the revenue.
