Berlin-based Tourlane secures €25 million to enhance AI-enabled travel experiences

Tourlane, a provider of personalised, AI-enabled multi-stop travel experiences, has raised €25 million in a Series D funding round aiming to become a leader in sustainable, data-driven travel solutions across Europe and beyond. The round was led by Sequoia Capital, with additional investment from Target Global, Jared Smith (co-founder of Qualtrics), and HV Capital.

Founded in 2016 in Berlin, Tourlane specialises in creating AI-powered, personalised travel experiences. Its platform allows travellers to design unique, multi-stop journeys across numerous destinations, leveraging AI to deliver tailored recommendations and exceptional customer support throughout the trip. The company offers experiences to over 40 global destinations and serves more than 100,000 travellers.

Julian Weselek, CEO and Founder of Tourlane said: “We are thrilled to continue our journey with Sequoia as our long-term trusted partner and to welcome Target Global as a new investors in the company. We created a great product that our customers love and we will continue to invest in AI, our offering and international expansion.”

  • Customer Satisfaction & Loyalty: The company’s tailored journeys and comprehensive support have led to a high level of customer satisfaction, with over 100,000 travellers to date and a notable increase in repeat customers.
  • Technological Advances: Enhancements in AI have optimised the customer journey, impacting everything from marketing and trip recommendations to customer service.
  • Strong Growth: Tourlane has achieved double-digit growth and expanded into multiple international destinations this year, with a focus on digital efficiency and operational effectiveness driving the company closer to profitability.
