Italian biotech Resalis Therapeutics attracted an equity investment from strategic partner Sanofi (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Earlier in January, Resalis raised 10 million euros from Sunstone Life Science Ventures, several angel investors, Italian Angels for Growth, Club degli Investitori and Claris Ventures. Alessandro Toniolo and Almut Nitsche are the ceo and cmdo of Resalis Therapeutics. The company will invest such proceeds in the phase 1 and phase 2 of its drug RES-010 for the treatment of obesity. Waxy, an Italian B-corp startup that operates in the sector of design, construction and distribution of technologies for the sanitisation of liquids and food products with the brand WIR System, attracted 1.35 million euros from CDP Venture Capital, Granarolo and Sud Speed Up (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Waxy was born in 2021 after a spin off from Milan University and Rome University. The company will invest such resources in the development of its proprietary technology and organic growth. Mauro Fontana and Massimo Revello are part of the scientific advisory and of the directors board.
Take Mi Home (TMH), a Milan-based startup for the supplying tailor-made well-being services, attracted 0.5 million euros from Terme & Spa Italia (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The startup signed a partnership with the investor and became the exclusive supplier of Terme Di Saturnia services. TMH now belongs to Terme& Spa Italia (16.7%), Giovanna Allegrini (ceo and founder – 33.32%), Antonia Venuto (29.15%), and Beatrice Allegrini (20.82%).
Sysnet, a provider of technological solutions and systems for the railway sector, acquired Alliumtech, a multi-channel communications company that auctions contracts, patents, trademarks, employment relationships and major assets for the TMT sector (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Red-Fish Kapital acted as financial advisor for the transaction.
Fondazione Social Venture Giordano Dell’Amore and Fondazione Cariplo launched the programme GDA Impact for investing more than 60 million euros in Italy’s social economy (see here a previous post by BeBeez). On 18 November, the firms will make a presentation of such initiative.
