Lab Evo, a startup for health diagnostics, attracted one million euros from Fincarl, the family office of Speranza Carletti (the former ceo of Newchem) that now has 15% of the target (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Lab Evo also belongs to IDB Holding (17.93%) and will invest the raised proceeds in its organic development. Matteo Nobili founded the company in 2022.
Kilometro Verde, the owner of Europe’s biggest vertical farm, aims to grow through M&A, main shareholder (above 69%) and founder Giuseppe Battagliola said (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Ismea has 30.3% of the company as it poured 6 million euros in the business in 2023. Battagliola said that he aims to create a vertical farm in Europe by 2H25 and another in UAE or in USA in 2026 and added that the company may carry on acquisitions and sell a stake to an investor for implementing such plans.
