Based in Denmark, Tiimo, an app dedicated to supporting neurodivergent individuals through innovative planning and learning tools, has successfully closed an additional €1.4 million funding round. This brings the company’s total pre-Series A funding to an impressive €4.3 million. The latest investment round was co-led by Crowberry Capital and People Ventures, with Sweden-based Inner Foundations also contributing.
Since its inception, Tiimo has been on a mission to celebrate and support the 15 to 20% of the global population that is neurodiverse, including those with ADHD, autism, and dyslexia. Founded in Copenhagen by Helene Lassen Nørlem and Melissa Würtz Azari, Tiimo’s user base has more than doubled since their last funding round, with over 50,000 paying subscribers as of August 2024. Notably, more than three-quarters of these users identify as neurodivergent. The app’s popularity extends far beyond its paid subscribers, boasting over 500,000 free users worldwide.
Tiimo’s flagship product is a customizable visual planner designed specifically for neurodivergent individuals, helping them manage daily tasks and routines effectively. In addition, Tiimo has launched Tiimo Learn, a learning platform offering specialized educational content, expert advice, and research-backed tools tailored to the unique needs of neurodivergent users. The company is also set to expand its offerings with a web-based version of its popular planner, set to launch in September 2024, making it accessible to a broader audience of laptop and desktop users.
The impact of Tiimo’s work has not gone unnoticed. The company was recently nominated in the inclusivity category for the prestigious Apple Design Awards, underscoring the importance of its mission and the growing recognition of the need for inclusive technology. With the new influx of funding, Tiimo plans to scale its operations, focusing on user growth, expanding its market presence, and enhancing its product offerings, particularly through the new Tiimo Learn subscription. Tiimo is available on the App Store and Google Play.
