Smartfarma, a manufacturer of multivitaminic supplements with added postbiotics made for infants, sold a controlling stake to Synergetic, Giampaolo Cagnin‘s investment holding company (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Rucellai & Raffaelli advised Smartfarma. Giliberti Triscornia and Associates supported Synergetic. Paolo Emilio Tagliabue founded Smartfarma in 2016. The company has revenues in the region of 2.2 million euros, a net financial debt of 0.208 million and negative equity of 0.244 million.
FoolFarm, an Italian venture builder that CEO Andrea Cinelli founded and leads, raised 2.55 million euros on the ground of a pre-money valuation of 30 million (see here a previous post by BeBeez). This contribution represents the first closing of a larger capital increase, launched in June 2024 for a total of 9.2 million. FoolFarm aims to reach the break-even point in 2026 ahead of a stock market listing. Crédit Agricole Italia, Add Valu, some Italian family officesand aUS holding company invested in Foolfarm.
CyLock, an innovative startup in the cybersecurity sector, received 0.5 million euros from Scientifica Venture Capital (lead investor), CDP Venture Capital, Cyber Xcelerator (the startup accelerator of Wise Guys) and Amsterdam-listed Exor Ventures (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Diego Padovan (ceo), Alessio Salzano (cfo), Verando Zappi, and Gian Paolo Antoniani founded the startup in 2022. The CyLock team conceived and developed EVA (extended vulnerability assessment) software that goes beyond the concept of traditional testing with solutions aimed at closing access to hacker attacks.
Regione Lombardia and Federated Innovation @MIND launched the programme Chimica verde Lombardia per un futuro sostenibile 2024 for stimulating co-innovation processes of players in the sustainable chemistry sector (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Cariplo Factory will support the Lombardy Region and Federated Innovation @MIND in launching a call for university spinoffs and start-ups based in Lombardy that can apply to offer innovative and articulated solutions in specific thematic areas such as greentech, logistics, mobility, energy, smart materials, health-pharma and housing. The first start-ups will receive a prize of 0.025 million euros each from the Lombardy Region and a tutoring course with experts that Federated Innovation @Mind manages for the evaluation of a possible Proof of Concept (PoC) in potential collaboration with companies in the Network and companies participating in the expression of interest. The programme will foster the search for innovative solutions in the field of green chemistry
