In recent years, the landscape of global security has undergone a significant transformation, driven by rapid advancements in technology and a surge in defence-focused innovation. Defence startups across the globe are at the forefront of this shift, reshaping traditional defence mechanisms and strategies with cutting-edge innovations. These emerging companies are not merely suppliers of new tools but are pivotal players in redefining the paradigms of national and international security.

From Munich to Paris, and from Berlin to Athens, these startups harness artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, advanced robotics, and digital twin technologies to offer solutions that promise to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in defence operations. Their efforts are not isolated to mere technological demonstrations but are integral to the strategic operations of defence forces and security agencies worldwide.

For this article, we dove into this slightly controversial, but dynamic sector to curate a list of 10 promising startups that are setting new standards in defence technology, driving innovation, and contributing to a (hopefully) safer, more secure world.
