Julie Koch Fahler: Co-founder and COO of Agreena, Julie is a retail industry innovator with over 13 years of experience in e-commerce, digital media, and marketing strategy. Operating from Copenhagen, Denmark, she’s revolutionising agricultural commodity trading through Europe’s leading soil carbon platform, Agreena, influencing both wholesalers and retail investors.
María Martínez: Inspired by her grandfather’s farming legacy, María co-founded Agrodit to innovate sustainable irrigation solutions. Under her leadership, Agrodit’s Guardian technology, celebrated with the prestigious Tech Validation award from the EIT Food Accelerator Network in 2023, saves water and boosts crop production by 40%.
Débora Campos: CEO and Founder of AgroGRIn Tech, Débora is a pioneer in sustainable solutions, aiming for a greener world. Recognised by Forbes Portugal for her contributions to gender equality in the labour market, her company specialises in eco-friendly processes, transforming industrial fruit waste into functional food ingredients. Débora participated in the inaugural EWA Programme by EIT Food.
Lena Jüngst: Co-founder and Co-Inventor of Air Up, Lena brings her expertise as a scent-based taste expert to the forefront of the company’s mission. Acknowledged in Forbes’ 30 Under 30, she’s passionate about creatively nudging people towards better consumption behaviours through innovative scent-based taste technology.
Inés Carballo Tomé: Founder and CEO of Aitana Espirulina, is a marine biologist specializing in microalgae cultivation for biomass. Based in Alicante, she is dedicated to producing artisanal spirulina of the highest quality, sustainably cultivated between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains of Alicante. The company excelled in EIT Food’s programmes, including Team Up and EWA, winning the 2021 edition.
Selin Mumcu: Co-founder of Algdeha, Selin holds a bachelor’s degree in genetics and bioengineering and a master’s in biotechnology. She leads Algdeha in offering sustainable algal solutions for fish-based industries, contributing to a more sustainable approach to fish farming and nutrition. Algdeha was selected for the second edition of the EIT Food Seedbed programme in Spain.
Nika Pintar: She founded Ani Biome after severe gastrointestinal issues prompted her to research fermented micronutrients. This longevity biotech startup offers personalized gut microbiome health solutions. Ani Biome stood out in EIT Food’s Rocket Up programme as one of four women-led startups pioneering in new markets in 2023.
Isabel Vercauteren: CEO and Co-founder of Aphea.Bio, Isabel leads the R&D company in Ghent, Belgium, in developing innovative biological products. With a background in plant molecular biology, she’s at the forefront of revolutionising agriculture towards a healthier and more sustainable food system.
Laura Lorenzo: Founder and CEO of A Piece of Lemon Cake, Laura is an award-winning leader in circular economy and climate tech. Her company pioneers circular business models, like Albedo, bio-based thermal insulation from citrus peel, contributing to a greener future. She has over 15 years of experience in designing and implementing disruptive business models.
Angela Bonato: CEO of BeadRoots, Angela is a curious individual passionate about sustainable agriculture practices. BeadRoots aims to reduce water needs in agriculture with eco-friendly, naturally derived super absorbent polymers, contributing to sustainable agriculture practices. Angela’s innovative approach earned BeadRoots the first prize in the 2023 Team Up edition.
Eliana Bejarano: CEO of BeAmaz, Eliana merges her expertise in international negotiations, politics, and law with a passion for creativity and sustainability. BeAmaz, under her leadership, focuses on enhancing biodiversity and improving families’ lives through sustainable superfood consumption in Latin America. Eliana participated in the 2023 Team Up edition, showcasing her dedication to innovation and sustainability.
Farayde Matta Fakhouri: Chief Scientific Officer at Bio2Coat, Farayde is a food engineer committed to reducing food waste and the use of plastics with Bio2Coat’s 100% natural edible coating. This innovation extends perishables’ shelf life, contributing to a more sustainable food industry. She was selected for the EIT Food Accelerator Network in Bilbao (2022).
Duygu Yılmaz: CEO and Co-founder of Biolive, Duygu leads the charge in producing bioplastics from olive seeds, addressing environmental concerns. Her work with Bio-Pura offers a sustainable alternative to traditional plastics, showcasing her commitment to environmental preservation and innovation. Biolive was part of the 2022 Team Up edition.
Nerve Cansu İşeri: Founder of BIONOME, Nerve leverages her expertise in bioengineering and drug research to pioneer advancements in nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals. Sena Tarım Yalçınkaya: Founder of Biopols and Citrona, Sena is dedicated to creating natural solutions in specialised cleaning. Her approach at Biopols and nature-inspired solutions at Citrona highlight her commitment to sustainable and effective cleaning products. They have benefited from programs like the EIT Food Seedbed Incubator Programme and secured the second prize in the 2023 Team Up edition.
Federica Pesce: Co-founder of Bravely Cultured, Federica is a climate activist and tech entrepreneur focusing on sustainable biomanufacturing with marine microorganisms. Ana Climent: Founder of Ca Climent, Ana dedicates herself to preserving two endangered varieties of Valencian peanuts through her startup. Her efforts in promoting local production significantly reduce carbon footprints, underscoring her commitment to sustainability and agricultural heritage which earned her the first prize in the 4th edition of the EWA Programme in Spain.
Victoria Oseyko: Investor Relations Manager and CMO at Carbominer, Victoria leads eco-startup initiatives in CO₂ capture technology for indoor agriculture, demonstrating a blend of strategic vision and technical expertise aimed at sustainable innovation. They joined the EIT Food Accelerator Network 2022, enhancing their commitment to sustainable innovation.
