Amsterdam-based Invest-NL, a Dutch national financing and development institution, on Friday, announced the launch of –Financing Table in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK).
This new initiative brings together government and private parties to tackle the financing issues within the climate and energy transition.
The aim is to deploy private and public capital more efficiently and to coordinate it.
The pilot with the theme ‘bio-based construction’ will start to test this approach’s value and learn from initial experiences.
The starting points of the Financing Tables are a basis of factual information, structured dialogue, and the determination of the next steps.
Invest-NL uses its unique position and knowledge of the market and financing to organise this.
The Netherlands is currently facing a significant construction and renovation task while pursuing environmental and climate goals.
As a result, ‘bio-based construction’ is being discussed to find sustainable solutions.
The pilot of the Financing Table has been initiated to accelerate the climate and energy transition in the country.
