WIVI Vision, a company offering innovative solutions to improve visual efficiency and treat visual dysfunctions in diagnosis and subsequent recovery, announced the closing of a €4 million round of funding led by Adara Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm that invests in deep tech companies with a European footprint, with participation from Hearstlab, Avançsa, Caixabank DayOne, BBVA Spark, Banco Santander, as well as current partners such as Peak Thomas (Pedro Tortosa), VC Go GMBH, among others.

The Series A financing round includes a mix of equity and debt and will help the company boost its domestic and international growth, as well as accelerate the expansion of the team and support the development of new technologies. WIVI Vision has raised €7 million to date, and the new funding will help the company take another significant step forward in achieving its goal of becoming a real driver of change and modernization in the optical and visual health sector.

Eva García Ramos, CEO and co-founder of WIVI Vision, commented: “This new funding represents the confidence in our business model and support of investors, which will allow us to continue advancing in our ambitious growth plan in both the domestic and international markets. In recent years, we have proven that we can improve children’s and adults’ visual health and quality of life with adapted and affordable technology, offering clinical assistance that specialists and users increasingly value.”

Rocío Pillado, Partner at Adara Ventures, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Eva García Ramos and Juan Carlos Ondategui-Parra, whose deep expertise has helped scale WIVI quickly as a leading alternative to traditional visual therapy methods driven by cutting-edge technologies. WIVI’s approach not only meets a critical need but also showcases a commitment to positively impacting lives globally.”

Founded in 2016, WIVI Vision has already established a presence in more than 70 centers specializing in visual health throughout Spain. The company also has expansion agreements with other organizations in the sector, including optometrists and optical centers such as NOG, Claravisión, Cecop, Federópticos, General Óptica, among others, as well as partnerships with other technology companies, public and private hospitals, and leading academic institutions.

WIVI Vision recently announced its plans to expand internationally after signing an agreement with Vision Rehab Technologies, Inc. (VRTI), which will become the exclusive distributor of WIVI Vision technology in the United States. WIVI Vision plans to expand its presence across the country, with the goal of launching in more countries in the coming years. With this new financing, the company also plans to grow its team to help drive international growth.

Groundbreaking visual assessment and training solutions using AI, Big Data, and 3D technologies WIVI Vision’s solution is based on advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), Big Data, and 3D technologies combined with gamification to adapt the platform to each patient based on their individual needs. Patients can access fully personalized training programs through WIVI Vision’s catalog of different video games, which not only allows them to have fun but also motivates them to complete their full treatment.

WIVI technology represents the evolution of traditional visual assessment methods, improving the quality of life of people with visual dysfunctions by offering scientific and technological solutions through a fun and non-invasive experience. WIVI differs from other solutions on the market by offering clinical assistance to the specialist assessing the visual system’s capabilities to provide objective data.
