London-based Finsu, a sustainable shopping platform, announced on Monday, January 15, that it has sold its online aggregator business to an entity controlled by serial tech entrepreneur Dr. Sven Lachhein.
The move aims to help Finsu’s sustainable e-commerce approach scale faster.
Dr Lachhein has previously built and led several tech companies, raising millions in venture capital.
Dr. Sven Lachhein says, “We are very excited to guide Finsu through its next chapter. The founding team has laid a powerful foundation, and we have high conviction in the potential of their tech, market fit, and established networks. We will work hard to deliver positive impact at scale, accelerating the existing growth.”
As part of the deal, the founders will continue to be involved in the new business as strategic advisors.
Finsu: Sustainable shopping platform
Founded in 2021 by Frederik Muelke, Dr. Julius Simon, and Ric Rodriguez, Finsu’s custom-built tech made strides in connecting consumers with leading sustainable brands online.
The platform brings together value-based shopping with a conscience.
Consumers can find all of their ethical needs in one place, from vegan products to carbon-neutral labels and labour champions, thanks to the platform.
Finsu features thousands of products from dozens of conscious fashion leaders. Since its inception, the company has partnered with dozens of leading sustainable brands, consistently steep sales and user growth, as well as, two rounds of financing from several expert investors.
“I am immensely proud of what the team has achieved in such a short time,” says Frederik Muelke, CEO.
“Finsu’s strong traction to date shows the enormous promise in removing access barriers to verifiably eco-conscious brands, and Sven and his team are well positioned to help accelerate Finsu’s positive impact by bringing the vision to an even broader audience. Seeing their level of confidence in what we have built has been tremendously rewarding,” Muelke.
