Breda-based RoomRaccoon, a cloud hotel management system (HMS), has acquired iHotelligence, a Dublin-based property management software, to further expand its presence in the Irish market. The specific terms of the deal remain undisclosed.
RoomRaccoon’s founder and CEO, Tymen van Dyl, sees the acquisition of iHotelligence as a strategic move towards becoming the world’s leading hotel management software.
The Dutch hotel tech company already serves over 2,000 hoteliers with 25,000 rooms globally, and this partnership is expected to contribute to further expansion.
RoomRaccoon’s founder, Tymen van Dyl says, “Acquiring iHotelligence represents a major milestone for us. It underscores our commitment to expanding our presence in the Irish market and providing cutting-edge technology to hoteliers that maximises revenue, streamlines operations, and delights guests.”
“By welcoming iHotelligence into the RoomRaccoon family, we will significantly increase our customer base in Ireland, positioning ourselves as market leaders in Hotel Management Software in the region.”
RoomRaccoon, while strengthening its foothold in Ireland, has ambitious plans for extensive expansion in both Europe and North America.
The Dutch company’s acquisition of iHotelligence marks the inaugural venture for the bootstrapped startup’s internal M&A department. Since its founding in 2017, RoomRaccoon has maintained financial independence.
