Even though the Italian real estate market is not in a blooming phase, the asset managers are in good health, said the 2023 report of Scenari Immobiliari and Studio Casadei about funds and Reits (real estate investment trust) (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The funds’ portfolios are worth 4.55 billion euros. Europe makes 35% of world’s asset and has a volume of 1.58 billion. Italian portfolios are worth 127 billion that may increase to 132 billion in 2024. Mario Breglia, the chairman of Scenari Immobiliari, said that the funds have a defensive role. The 630 Italian funds’ portfolios make 12% of the European value and for 2024 they may grow their Nav by 2.7% and their assets by 3.9%, said Francesca Zirnstein, the coo of Scenari Immobiliari.
