Delft-based Tarnoc, the manufacturer of fully electric Turbine Heat Pump, announced on Thursday, November 2, that it has raised €800K in the initial phase of its seed round.
Two new shareholders, including BarUni and other family funds, have joined the company, showing immense confidence in Arnoc’s mission.
The Dutch startup will utilise the capital infusion to accelerate the development of the Turbine Heat Pump.

The announcement comes after raising €1.5M in subsidies and pre-seed investments previously. The company is also extending an invitation to potential investors to join the second phase of their seed round.
Tarnoc: Making clean and affordable heating a reality
Founded by Vincent Wijdeveld and Tijmen de Jong, Tarnoc is developing a fully electric Turbine Heat Pump — Turbine Boiler, to replace the gas boiler.
The Turbine Heat Pump utilises patented technology that is scalable and has the potential to reduce energy consumption by 50% and CO2 emissions by 80 per cent.
The fully electric high-temperature turbine boiler can replace the central heating boiler 1-on-1. The system works without an outdoor unit and is connected to the existing climate system (radiators).
According to the company, no additional adjustments to the homes are necessary. The high power offers the option of continuously supplying hot tap water, comparable to the central heating boiler.
Tarnoc is on a mission to make clean and affordable heating a reality for everyone.
The first nine prototypes are currently being tested in different homes.
During the heating season of 2023-2024, the company will conduct extensive testing of the newest version in rental properties as well as national monuments and municipal real estate such as town halls, offices, and schools.
