Leaf Space, an Italian scaleup that developed a global infrastructure for microsatellites, raised 20 million euros from lead investor CDP Venture Capital, Neva First (part of Intesa Sanpaolo), Simest, Redseed Ventures, Primo Space, and Whysol Investments (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Leaf Space is also in advanced talks for receiving a 15 million a venture debt facility from the European Investment Bank. Jonata Puglia, Giovanni Pandolfi and Michele Messina founded the business in 2014.
Easyrain, an automotive startup that ceo Giovanni Blandina founded in 2013, raised 5.8 million euros from Progress Tech Transfer, Indaco Ventures Partners, LIFTT and Equiter (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Easyrain retained LCA Studio Legale as advisor. Since its foundatiom Easyrain raised 15.8 million.
Wetaxi, an Italian startup, raised 2 million euros from CDP Venture Capital (one million), Azimut Libera Impresa (0.75 million) and its current investors (see here a previous post by BeBeez). In 2019, Wetaxi raised 2 million from Club degli Investitori (0.455 million) and other investors. Massimiliano Curto founded Wetaxi in 2017. The company will invest the raised proceeds in it proprietary technology.
Ener2Crowd.com, a B-corp startup that developed the eponymous lending crowdfunding platform, raised 1.2 million euros (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Crédit Agricole Italia puredt 170,000 euros in the firm that Niccolò Sovico, Giorgio Mottironi, Paolo Baldinelli, and Sergio Pedolazzi founded in 2018. Pedolazzi previously said to BeBeez that Ener2Crowd.com was mulling for launching an investment round.
Italian proptech Wikicasa (a company in which invested real estate networks Gruppo Gabetti, Tecnocasa Group, Re/Max, and Tempocasa) closed an investment round of undisclosed value (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Sources said to BeBeez that the company raised a total of 10 million euros since its foundation.
Way Experience, an Italian tourtech startup, attracted the resources of Fondazione Social Venture Giordano Dell’Amore (FSVGDA), the impact investing arm of Fondazione Cariplo, on the ground of a pre-money value of 5.8 million euros (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Way Experience retained as advisors Eptalex Garzia Gasperi & Partners. Pier Francesco Jelmoni (previously 12.93% owner)and ceo Marco Pizzoni (56.9%) founded the company in 2019.
HCS, an Italian cosmetics producer that Chiara Sormani founded and that owns the Face D brand, completed a capital increase of undisclosed value that attracted the resources of Encelado Ventures and Economa (see here a previous post by BeBeez). HCS has sales of 3.38 million euros, an ebitda of minus 65,000 euros, a net financial debt of 0.31 million and equity of 3.2 million.
Spain’s Civitfun Hospitality, a portfolio scalu up of P101, said it acquired Italian competitor Group Reservation System (GRS), a company that Paolo Medeghini founded in 2020 (see here a previous post by BeBeez).
Milan-listed Mediobanca and Founders Factory, a London-based company builder and investor in early-stage startups, signed a partnership for creating a venture studio and support 35 fintech firms (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Mediobanca will invest 12 million euros in this joint venture. The venture studio will also develop an acceleration programme .
Badiani Limited, a London-based ince cream company, attracted a venture financing facility from WTI (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Gianni & Origoni advised the company that previously received financing facilities from Juice Ventures. Badiani repaid the loans. Badiani also signed a licensing agreement with Juchheim, an iconic Japanese patisserie, for selling its products in Japon and opening a shop in Kobe and another in Kyoto.
Orapesce, a digital platform for purchasing fresh fish, received a 7 years convertible loan of 0.5 million euros from Intesa SanPaolo (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The transaction is part of “Convertibile Impresa”, a programme of Intesa SanPaolo for startups. Giacomo Bedetti and Alberto Mazza founded Orapesce in 2018.
