Amsterdam-based ScaleNL, a public-private organisation that offers a launch platform in the US to Dutch tech startups, announced the names of the startups selected for the ScaleNL Connect programme to Chicago.
It is a 4-week version of the 10-week ScaleNL Accelerator programme.
The initiative aims to promote cooperation, knowledge exchange, and business expansion between the Netherlands and Chicago, known as the agri-food capital of the US.
It was co-organised with the Dutch Consulate General in Chicago and is funded by the Netherlands Agency for International Development.

The programme includes a diverse group of 10 startups poised to revolutionise the agri-food industry. These were chosen for their disruptive ideas, potential for growth, and dedication to generating positive change.
The programme’s purpose is to accelerate their growth by providing them with market access in the United States.
Andreea Bota, Senior Economic Policy Officer at The Consulate General of the Netherlands in Chicago, says, “We are excited to host the first-ever startup programme for Dutch companies in the Midwest, and we are looking forward to having this talented group of agri-food innovators in Chicago.”
“These 10 startups exemplify the Netherlands’ leading role in agri-food innovation, and we believe that connecting them with the vibrant food ecosystem in Chicago will propel their growth,” adds Bota.
Connect Chicago 2023 will provide the selected entrepreneurs a chance to interact with industry experts, possible partners, investors, and mentors.
