Equita Capital, an alternative asset manager of Equita Group, is going to launch a new fund dedicated to equity investments in renewable energy infrastructure. This was said by the sgr’s managing director, Matteo Ghilotti, speaking at a press meeting last week to celebrate 50 years since the founding of the group listed on Piazza Affari (see here a previous post by BeBeez). For Equita Capital, infrastructure is a new asset class in which it will be measuring itself. But the sgr is well equipped for the challenge, acquiring a team with a solid track record in the field. Funding target is between 200 and 250 million euros with a first closing on 100 million expected next fall. Equita’s new fund will invest only in equity and also in greenfield projects. However, Andrea Vismara, the ceo of Equita Group, said that the firm could also launch a fund for infrastructure debt.
Gruppo Immobiliare Dal Collo, an Italian real estate company, is in the final stage of its liquidation process (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Ways Advisory is handling the process and the sale of real estate assets to the creditors of the company which has debt of 17 million euros with AMCO. The sources said to BeBeez that Dal Collo reached an agreement with its lenders for restructuring the debt and raising resources for completing the projects in development.
