On June 2nd we headed to Vienna to host an exciting evening of pitching and networking – as a side event of the community-driven ViennaUP Festival!
The ViennaUP Festival, one of the stand-out events in the European startup scene, unites a vibrant blend of investors, visionaries, trailblazers, and influential thinkers from around the globe. This gathering offers a chance to be enthralled by inspiring ideas, exchange personal experiences, and contribute to driving meaningful innovation. The festival shines a spotlight on revolutionary technology within the community, and we are thrilled to be a part of this year’s ViennaUP Festival with our exhilarating Pitch Night.
Exclusive Networking & Pitching
On June 2nd, we partnered with Vienna Business Agency for a very exciting Pitch Night, exclusively for promising early-stage startups and investors! The event took place at the beautiful Cloud 21 venue in Vienna.
We welcomed 15 of the super innovative early-stage startups to battle it out for a prize package worth €5,000. Prior to the event we had narrowed down the 15 finalists from over 160 applications.
The startup that delivered the best pitch that evening took home a prize package worth €5,000. This includes a spot in the early-stage program of Scaleway, with boosted credits of up to €4,200 and up to 4 tickets for next year’s EU-Startups Summit in Malta (value: €900)!
The 15 finalists represented different verticals – from foodtech to healthtech to greentech and everything in between. The finalists who joined us were: Synaptiq, Agrodox, Croft, Prosoma, Arkimedes Network, Calingo Insurance, ConsciESG, FathomX Pte Ltd, PROSUME, silana, bee produced GmbH, Crowdsender, PetAid GmbH, FIRA Solutions d.o.o. and reebuild.
It’s fair to say that during the pitches, our expert jury integrated by: Petra Moravcova – 3VC investor, Maximilian Schausberger – Managing Director at Elevator Ventures, and Juergen Milde-Ennoeckl – Investment Manager at Tecnet equity had a tough decision to make, and our expert jury had a hard time choosing the winning startup.
And the winner is..!
This year’s pitch night winner is Agrodox!
The Croatian start up Agrodox, founded in 2022, developed a solution that actively promotes the optimisation of the food production process, reduction of greenhouse gasses, and transformation of waste into valuable commodities. Agrodox also contributes to the digitalisation and inclusivity agenda, by advancing digital solutions to an underserved segment of the economy which reduces the discrimination of rural populations, promotes opportunities and reduces brain drain.
We want to send a huge “well done” to all the participants of this year’s Pitch Night event. Out of so many applicants, making it to the top 15 is already a great accomplishment.
