Vidya Peters – DataSnipper’s new CEO
Peters was the Chief Operating Officer at Marqeta, the go-to-market organisation for 350+ people.
Before Marqeta, she was Chief Marketing Officer at MuleSoft.
Peters helped Marqeta and MuleSoft go public in 2021 and 2017 respectively.
Prior to those roles, she led teams in Product and Marketing at Intuit, where she developed a deep understanding of the accounting and financial software industry

SC: Can you share your thoughts on joining DataSnipper and your vision for its future?
Peters: DataSnipper solves a problem that has been long overlooked – identifying, verifying, and reconciling unstructured data, freeing up auditors to be more strategic stewards of the business.
Longer term, I see DataSnipper solving the problem of connecting unstructured data across industries – so that they can focus on what matters – making informed decisions, driving growth, and achieving their goals.
SC: As the new CEO, what are your key priorities and goals for DataSnipper in the short and long term?
Peters: At DataSnipper, we wake up every day to transform the world of intelligent automation to make our customers successful. Our customers play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and accountability of data.
With our product, our customers can focus on the strategic work that truly drives progress and innovation while leaving the manual work to DataSnipper.
In the long term, we look to solve this problem for customers across industries globally.
SC: You are taking the helm at DataSnipper with Germany entering recession and global economic uncertainty looming large. How do you plan to navigate the company during these difficult times?
Peters: Now more than ever, people are looking to do more with less. Our customers win back up to 90 per cent of their time by using intelligent automation. On average, it takes 8 hours to complete a common audit reconciliation procedure.
With DataSnipper, this procedure can be completed within 1 hour. Company-wide, thousands of hours can be saved.
By eliminating manual work, they free up time to work on strategic issues and increase data and audit integrity. There are many things uncertain today, and data integrity doesn’t have to be one of them.
SC: You have a successful track record of leading fast-growing organisations, including Marqeta and MuleSoft. How will your past experience contribute to your role at DataSnipper?
Peters: Being a part of Marqeta and MuleSoft has taught me what leading and navigating through hypergrowth looks like – building and scaling high-performing teams, setting a vision and strategy, and leading nimbly in a fast-changing environment.
SC: Previously, you also took these companies public. Do you envision a similar trajectory for DataSnipper? What are your thoughts on DataSnipper going public in the future?
Peters: We are focused on building the best intelligent automation company. That’s the trajectory I am focused on for DataSnipper. When we do that well, all outcomes are open and possible.
SC: Now, the company’s founders, Maarten Alblas and Jonas Ruyter, will join the DataSnipper Board and continue to contribute to product innovation and strategy. How do you plan to collaborate with them and leverage their expertise in shaping DataSnipper’s future direction?
Peters: Maarten and Jonas bring a wealth of knowledge, passion, and context to the intelligent automation space.
I work closely with Maarten and Jonas every day on our product and customer opportunities. We are lucky to have them engaged and passionate about serving DataSnipper.
SC: What are the key areas of focus for DataSnipper’s expansion plans? Are there any specific regions or markets where you see significant growth opportunities?
Peters: We plan to expand internationally. Last year, we opened an office in New York City to serve our North American customers.
This year, we will expand to Asia Pacific, starting with a team in Australia. DataSnipper serves customers across geographies and industries. It’s a truly horizontal platform and serves hundreds of customers in over eighty countries.
SC: How big is your team? Are you currently hiring, and if so, what roles are you looking for?
Peters: We recently crossed a hundred employees across our offices in Amsterdam and New York.
We are hiring across the company – with roles currently open in product management, engineering, sales, customer success, marketing, and more.
You can see our open positions at https://careers.datasnipper.com.
SC: What message would you like to convey to the existing and potential customers of DataSnipper, as well as to the team members who will be working under your leadership?
Peters: We believe that data should be an asset, not a burden. We are passionate about solving our customers’ data problems so that they can focus on what they do best – being stewards of trust for their customers.
I couldn’t be more excited to lead DataSnipper in this next chapter of growth.
