A recently approved reform of the Italian arbitration law, implemented by means of Legislative Decree no. 149 of 10 October 2022, will be applicable to proceedings started after 30 June 2023.
Apart from some minor amendments, the reform mainly concerns (i) the relationship between arbitration and State courts proceedings, (ii) the disclosure by arbitrators of causes that might affect the perception of their independence and impartiality, as well as (iii) the possibility for the arbitrators to issue provisional measures.
