Stellantis, the French-Italian automotive company, invested 150 million Dollars in the California-based scaleup Archer, a NYSE-listed producer of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircrafts, (See here a previous post by BeBeez). Stellantis aims to support Archer for the production of Midnight, an eVTOL cab. Stellantis made such resources available for a capital increase that Archer may launch between 2023 and 2024. Stellanti salso aims to purchase further shares of the company on the public market in the frame of a partnership aimed at the building a plant in Covington, Georgia, where the production of Midnight may start in 2024. Adam Goldstein and Brett Alcock founded Archer in 2020 and since then raised 857.6 million from PIPE (Private Investment in Public Equity) investors like Stellantis, Exor Seeds, Baron Capital Group, Federated Hermes Kaufmann Funds, Mubadala, Putnam Investments, Access Industries, United Arlines, and the Spac Atlas Crest which poured 257.6 million.
Iride Acque, an Italian company active in the field of the treatment of industrial waters, raised more than 0.66 million euros through an equity crowdfunding campaign on Opstart (See here a previous post by BeBeez). The company is close to reaching a 0.7 million target for a pre-money value of 9.6 million. In 2021, Iride raised 0.7 million on CrowdFundMe for a pre-money value of 3.5 million. The company will invest the proceeds of the last campaign in its sales and marketing activities and the acquisition of the majority of BiEmme Engineering, an Italian competitor. Matteo Folloni, Monica Casadei and Francesco Capoti are the founders of Iride Acque which aims to expand its operations in Europe, China, India, and USA.
Banca Valsabbina announced the acquisition of up to 10% of Italian fintech NYP Techfin (See here a previous post by BeBeez). The target is part of Gruppo Collextion, a credit management company and retained EY as advisor for the business plan. Terrin Associati assisted Banca Valsabbina.
Spiagge.it, a digital company for booking parasols at beach establishments, raised 1.4 million euros from Growth Engine, an investment holding that Michele Appendino, Marco Ariello, Andrea Marangione, and Fabio Mondini de Focatiis created (See here a previous post by BeBeez). Niccolò Para and Andrea Menghi created Spiagge.it which now aims to expand abroad, carry on acquisitions and invest further in its proprietary technology.
