Tree Energy Solutions (TES), a Belgium-based producer of green hydrogen that Marco Alverà  (the former ceo of Milan-listed Snam) heads attracted 65 million euros from E.ON, HSBC, UniCredit and Zodiac Maritime (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Tree’s enterprise value amounts to 700 million. AtlasInvest, the family office of Marcel Van Poecke (head and managing director of Carlyle International Energy Partners) previously invested in the company.
Medical Microinstruments (MMI), an Italian medtech and robotics company, raised 75 million US Dollars from Deerfield Management, RA Capital Management,Biostar Capital, Andera Partners, Fountain Healthcare Partners, Sambatech, and Panakès Partners (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Carlo Alberto Marcoaldi, Giuseppe M. Prisco, Hannah Teichmann, and Massimiliano Simi founded MMI in 2015. The company will invest the raised proceeds in its proprietary technology.
Corporate Partners I, a fund managed by CDP Venture Capital, announced the first 80 million euros closing for its Energy Tech unit ahead of a target of 100 million (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The corporate venture capital fund attracted the commitments of Baker Hughes, Edison, Snam and Italgas.
SAP, a giant publisher of corporate software, acquired Askdata (fka INNAAS), an Italian Artificial Intelligence – based data startup that Simone di Somma and Giuseppe Ancona founded in 2015 (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company previously attracted 100k euros from TIM Ventures in a pre-seed round in 2015 and further resources in a seed round by Pi Campus and Y Combinator in 2019.
Unobravo, a B-Corp that provides psychology sessions online born in 2019, attracted 17 million euros from Insight Partners (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company also received the resources of Thomas Plantenga, Olivier Bonnet and Anne de Kerckhove. In 2020, Unobravo attracted a 0.15 million investment of Fondo Italia Venture II – Fondo Imprese Sud, a fund managed by CDP Venture Capital sgr and SocialFare Seed who sold all its stake to Insight Partners. Danila De Stefano founded Unobravo in 2019 and will invest the raised proceeds in its proprietary technology and international expansion in Spain where it owns Buencoco.
Italian insurtech Wallife raised 12 million euros from United Ventures, Aptafin and other investors (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company will invest such proceeds in hiring furhter human resources, its proprietary technology and organic growth. Fabio Sbianchi founded Wallife in 2021. Maria Enrica Angelone is the company’s ceo.
Life Science startup BetaGlue Technologies raised 10 million euros in equity from Fin Posillipo (Petrone Group), Kairos Partners SGR, LIFTT, Neva, Profequycapital, and Romed, while Innogest Capital and Panakès Partners reinvested in the business (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Francesco Izzo heads the company that will ivnest the proceeds in developing further its activities in Europe and USA.
Innovative-Rfk raised 4.7 million euros through an equity crowdfunding campaign on Mamacrowd (well above the 2.3 millions initial target) (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company attracted the resources of AliCrowd, the Eltif vehicle of Azimut Libera Impresa.
Blacksheep Ventures (fka BlackSheep Madtech Fund) invested 3 million euros in iGenius (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company launched a capital increase of 10 million.
In 1H22, venture capital funds invested 957 million euros (+123%) in 172 deals, said a report ofOsservatorio Venture Capital Monitor – VeM (part of Liuc Business School), sponsored by Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, E. Morace & Co. Relicta, Katakem, LEOgistic, and SphereCube won the Call4Ideas of Scientifica Venture Capital (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Davide Sanna founded Relicta, a packaging company. Marco Francardi and Manuela Oliverio created Katakem a producer of chemical devices. Cristiano Fanelli, Matteo Angelinelli and Raffaele Pascale created LEOgistic an AI-based software publisher. Valerio Di Pompeo founded SphereCube.
1Control, an Italian producer of smart systems for access control, closed its equity crowdfunding campaign on Mamacrowd and raised 650k euros on the ground of a 6.5 million pre-money value (see here a previous post by BeBeez).  The company attracted the resources of AZ Eltif ALIcrowd II. The company will invest the raised proceeds in its organic growth.
