The new fund, like the previous one, will have a pan-European investment perspective, with particular attention to Italy and Spain. In the portfolio of the sixth fund as Italian companies there are still participations in Artsana, Medical Technology and Devices, International Design Group, Ceme, Lifebrain and Italcanditi (which last September acquired the majority of Prodotti Rubicone).
The Investindustrial V fund, instead, had raised 1.25 billion euros in 2012 and in turn is still invested in a number of companies. Before that, in 2009, a topup was announced for 100 million of the third fund, which instead had raised 500 million in 2005. The fourth fund had announced the closing in 2008 for a billion euros. The second fund had instead collected subscriptions for 323 million in 2000.
In the meantime Investindustrial in May 2018 collected the Investindustrial Growth Fund, dedicated to investments in the low end of the European mid market segment, with a closing of 375 million euros(see here a previous article by BeBeez). The fund already has a series of investments, of which two in Italy: 70% of Dispensa Emilia and 70% of Farmaceutici Procemsa.
