Imprima spa, the Italian parent company of an international group active in textile printing, announced yesterday the acquisition of the US companies City Prints and Premier Fabrics, active in the same textile printing sector (see here the press release).
Imprima has been built one year ago by Italian private equity operator Wise sgr through its Wisequity IV Fund in order to buy Germany’s KBC and Italy’s Guarisco (see here a previous post by BeBeez). In the following months Impra also bought othr two Italian companies: B-Blossom (see here a previous post by BeBeez) and Società Europa Tessile (SET) (see ahere a previous post by BeBeez). After all those acquisitions, Imprima reached 160 million euros in revenues in 2017.
Founded in 1997, City Prints and Premier Fabrics are based, respectively, in New York and Los Angeles and reached consolidated revenues fo 23 million dollars. Both companies are suppliers of the major US retailers such as Walmart, Target and Macy’s, of major fashion brands such as Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfinger, and of major online retailers such as Amazon. Jason and Ryan Borg, the two brothers founders of City Prints and Premier Fabrics, will reinvest in Imprima holding and will keep on managing City Prints and Premier Fabrics.
