ArchiMed, a French private equity fund focused on the healthcare industry, has signed an agreement to purchase Italy’s Micromed spa and its subsidiary Micromed France.
Micromed is an elettromedicali devices manufacturer directed to the neurophysiological diagnosis. The company carries out research and development and production at its main factory in Mogliano Veneto, near Treviso.
More specifically Micromed produces equipment for digital electroencephalography (EEG, Video EEG, Stereo EEG), Holter EEG, Evoked potentials, electromyography and polysomnography.
The Archimed fund was assisted in the acquisition by the law firm Dentons, while PwC assisted the sellers in the sale on both the legal and the financial point of view.
In Italy ArchiMed invested already a year ago in the chain of dental clinics Primo Group spa, which was founded in 2010 in Turin and then enlarged its business[list icon=”undefined” ]list item per line.[/list] to the other italian regions.
